This is a great book for any collector of Japanese art. It has quality photos and is explained in both Japanese and English. It has many photos of fittings and a great collection of Koshirae shown in very good detail. Plus, what really makes this book is the outstanding article by Fred Geyer on the mislabeled Tokei tsuba and their Christian meaning ! I have 40 copies of this book so if you want more than one please ask quantity prices.

| KOKUSAI TOSOGU KAI 4th INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION & EXHIBITION CATALOG |
This book is one of the best catalogs of Japanese arts when it comes to photo details. A very high quality catalog with outstanding fittings shown in great detail. Also in this catalog is a detailed article from Boris Markhasin on Ezo fittings. His studies on early fittings are worth every cent of the cost. Again, quantity pricing is available.

Originally published in 1937, this is the 1940 edition and in very good condition. The first 100 plus pages are on history and sword construction. The next 300 pages contain 762 oshigata of full tangs with hamon in the monouchi. There is a thin onion skin paper over each page with printed information on each sword. Type of hada, hamon, etc. It is an excellent book for anyone wanting to learn about Japanese swords.
