First let me say the scan is really bad !! The steel on this tsuba is OUTSTANDING jingo dark melted brown, this is a very good late Edo plate from main line work. You will 100% love this tsuba in hand...tried to scan a few times but the steel is so melted looking it scans bad.

A very elegant Higo design with NBTHK hozon papers. I REALLY love this one as it is a true Higo design that stayed true to them throughout time. The tsuba has great color and has a different flower than most seen. It shows a plum whereas most depict a sakura. I do not know what this means other then maybe a different season or part of Japan . Just a good tsuba to enjoy!
